You are likely familiar with the traditional bookkeeping systems where you gather your receipts and documentation for the month, quarter, or once a year and then throw it in a shoebox and deliver it to your bookkeeper with a big apology about the disorganization.  It is stressful for you and stressful for your bookkeeper to do business this way, especially when there are easy to use technologies to assist you with your data collection, storage, and delivery processes. 

Our Paperless System

We have adopted a paperless system that allows you to send us your receipts, invoices, and requests via the internet.  As part of your monthly subscription, you will have access to a state-of-the-art storage facility online which will make your life so much easier.  You will simply send us the information via the portal, we will analyze it, enter it, and make any necessary adjustments in real-time.  The storage facility is cloud-based, safe and highly encrypted, and endorsed by accountants globally. 

Of course, you can still bring us your shoebox, but we will adjust our price to reflect the time it takes to sort and enter the information manually.  I think you will agree, doing this online will free up time and money which are both vitally important when you are in business for yourself.  If anything, it will give you peace of mind that all information is stored in a safe and secure portal that you can access at any time. 

Keeping your costs down

Once we receive your documentation, we will review the information to make sure it is legible, relevant, and appropriate for the company in which it was intended.  The next step is for us to enter the transactions into your books.  After we go through our accounting cycle, balance the books, and produce the financial statements, we will post a copy for you to retrieve from your portal.  It is a seamless process for you and us and one that you will appreciate as the documents will always be available for you, should you need them in the future.  Like all professionals, we bill for our time and so it is important that we provide you with as much information about your company and its performance through technology.  It keeps your price down, keeps us efficient, and allows us to practice our profession and expand our services to other jurisdictions.

Complying with Provincial and Federal Laws

We spend a lot of time and money on compliance.  As such, we want all our clients to know that we do not take instructions from our clients regarding bookkeeping entries.  We comply with current provincial and federal laws and will adjust according to any future changes.  We will not hesitate to terminate any relationship that will bring litigation, unnecessary audits, or cause us to suffer reputational damage as a result of a bad decision by a client.  We do our job very well giving you more time to focus on your company. 

Integrating with our Technology Platforms 3

We work with several third-party technology platforms that integrate with our customer resource management (CRM) system, bookkeeping systems, and marketing systems.  When you sign our engagement letter you also grant us permission to share your information for the purposes of integrating the technology into our work.  We do not sell, provide, or otherwise use your information for any other purpose than to provide you with bookkeeping, taxation, and business consulting opportunities.  You have the right to opt-out of any platforms that you wish however when you opt-out of one, we will remove you from all.  This may cause an increase in your monthly bookkeeping fees and more time for us to manually do the work for you.  You will be billed according to the actual time it takes us to complete our work without the use of our technology platforms.  We believe in meeting the client where they are at and so if the “old fashioned way” suits you better we can do that for you.  Just ask us for a custom quote and we would be happy to help.
